Total E&P Bulgaria informs about the IFP’s free MOOC* "Energy transition: innovation towards a low carbon future"

In 2015 IFP School launched the first Oil & Gas MOOC* in partnership with Total.  The sessions brought together about  70 000 people from more than 150 countries. As of March 18th 2019 a new free MOOC will start. It is entitled "Energy transition: innovation towards a low carbon future". The objective of this online course, within the context of the energy transition and sustainable development, is to deal with Energy transition challenges, renewables for electricity generation in a carbon constrained world, underground resources - geothermal and natural gas, underground CO2 storage and energy storage, energy efficiency in processes, biofuels, bio sources chemicals and benefit regarding CO2 emissions reduction.

Fostering access to free, quality education for all throughout the world, this course is supported by Total Foundation as part of its "Education and integration of young people" program.

The MOOC "Energy transition: innovation towards a low carbon future" is available in English, with subtitles in French and English.

The format of the MOOC is a 4-week course of 2 to 3 hours per week, forums and free certification.

It is designed for a university audience (students from 1st to 5th year) and for young professionals.
